AMET’s history is closely linked to the welding research and development efforts of the US Department of Energy and Department of Defense. To date, AMET’s primary focus has been to design, develop, manufacture and sell welding process control, welding process monitoring, and complete automated turn-key solutions to our customers.
AMET’s advanced weld controls and data acquisition products combine the exceptional high-speed processing capability of Digital Signal Processors (DSP) with extensive graphically based software for extremely powerful welding automation in a very user-friendly package. With our excellent hardware and software engineering team as well as in-house development and manufacturing capability, we are in direct control of our products, their support, and their future enhancements.
In order to better meet the demands of our customer base, AMET has expanded its capabilities. AMET’s expansion into the international market identified an immediate need to accommodate the rapidly growing Asian markets. As a result, AMET Welding Automation Technology (Beijing) was formed in 2004 to provide AMET’s advanced control products, as well as excellent local service and support to the Asian market. Our factory and personnel, located in Changping district of Beijing are able to provide trained service and parts for all AMET products.
AMET is staffed with electrical, mechanical, and welding engineers. This strong engineering base is continually being used to enhance and expand a solid standard product line. In addition, this staff is an excellent resource for supporting weld applications. AMET’s dedicated engineering staff in all three divisions is willing and ready to look at special welding applications and requirements. Our diversity of control platforms and flexible manufacturing base allows us the unique opportunity to provide a true solution for your specific application.
